Estimates varied. One guide claimed that Costa Rica contains 7% of the world's *remaining* biodiversity. Another 5%. And a third 6%. All agreed that this is in only 0.03% of the world's land area. We are looking, here, at a part of the very core (soul?) of the immensely subtle and complex biodiversity that sustains us.
Kathleen snapping away!Fog mist and drizzle.....alternating with downpours......we were in the clouds, after allfeeling quite small...and dwarfed by giants......each of them a sort of......highrise complex ......each a whole interdependent......ecosystem of its own!A seemingly endless chaos of plant life.......huge, lushly green leaves...and fernsand verdant growth -  everywhere!Lianas...and endless mosses......a thousand shades of green.....and of. tiny delicate forms...of new life......sprouting...
